Below are the details of the next Open Day of the Lightning Preservation Group at Bruntingthorpe Airfield near Leicester: -

The next Open Day is the Jimmy Dell Memorial Day on the 3rd August

Date is to be announced and tickets are valid from the postponed February date, there are still some available

Please come along & support continued preservation & running of all these marvellous aircraft & also the re-erection of the QRA shed.

The intention will be to carry out Lightning Hi Speed runs subject as always, to serviceability!

It is amazing, when you think of it, just how the group has managed to achieve the serviceability that they have over the years. It really is "Crunch Time"....The aircraft need to be tucked away in their own hangars....Please support the QRA Shed Appeal so that work can continue on re-erecting the RAF Wattisham "Q" sheds here at Bruntingthorpe!

So if you want to see, hear and sit in a Lightning, then Bruntingthorpe will be the place to be on any of our Open Days!
