The Camera was a handheldCanon D60 6 megapixel professional digital SLR with a Canon 300mm f4.0 L image stabilised telephoto lens.
Using this lens on this particular camera body gives a
focal length multiplier of 1.6 because the
CMOS sensor is smaller than a 35mm
negative, so the lens performs as if it was a focal
length of 480mm.
For the technically minded....... I selected a file
type on camera of JPEG fine/large,
which recorded a compressed file size of approx.
2.5 Mb (3072 x 2048
pixels) on a 256Mb Compact Flash card,
the file then expanding to approx. 19Mb in
editing software.
