Description

The star of this specially commissioned illustration is an English Electric Lightning F.6. The Lightning was a supersonic jet interceptor, designed to protect RAF airfields from Soviet bombers. Built around two jet engines, one on top of the other, the Lightning had exceptional speed and climb rate.

This RAF Binbrook art print is available with the English Electric Lightning depicted in the markings of No. 11 Squadron RAF, or in the markings of No. 5 Squadron RAF.
